HIPAA Standards
HIPAA is a national standard for the protection, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information. It also establishes additional requirements for the notification of any breach of this information. Vivio participates annually in third-party HIPAA audits to evaluate our continued compliance with HIPAA security and breach notification requirements.
SOC 1 Type II
A SOC 1 Type II audit is an independent evaluation of the effectiveness of a service organization’s internal controls through a calendar year. Vivio participates annually in third-party SOC 1 Type II audits to provide assurance that Vivio has effective controls in place to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
SOC 2 Type II
A SOC 2 Type II audit is an independent evaluation of the effectiveness of a service organization’s controls regarding security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy over a calendar year. Vivio participates annually in third-party SOC 2 Type II audits to provide assurance that Vivio has effective controls in place to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
PCI-DSS
PCI-DSS compliance is a set of security standards created by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council to protect credit card data. These standards apply to any organization that accepts, processes, stores, or transmits credit card information. Vivio meets current data center security requirements for PCI-DSS compliance for Vivio’s transaction volume. Vivio participates in self-audits for PCI-DSS compliance, and equivalent controls are validated through annual third-party SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA audits.
Privacy Shield Framework
The Data Privacy Framework, formerly The Privacy Shield Framework, is a set of rules created by the U.S. Department of Commerce to govern how organizations collect, use, store, and share personal information. The framework ensures that organizations respect people’s privacy and follow the law. Vivio complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Shield Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
