While city power is generally pretty reliable here in the US, nothing is ever 100%. Vivio compensates for the rare occasions where city power cuts out by utilizing redundant APC battery backups, and an automatic failover to generator systems. Should city power ever fail, backup generators are automatically kicked on, and power is switched to them in mere minutes of a power outage.
Vivio provides multiple fiber connections to the Internet through our network. We also provide redundant switching infrastructure and routing infrastructure. Automatic failover systems are in place, but we monitor these systems closely and can kick over network connectivity manually any time we feel there might be a problem with any particular route.
Vivio does not perform broad-spectrum network filtering of any kind. Instead, security systems, like firewalls and VPNs, are local and specific to your account. This gives you complete control over your part of the network and ensures that Vivio never gets in the way of your intentions or goals. You remain in control at all times.
Vivio maintains multiple fiber backbone connections, a resilient internal switching network, and multiple data center redundancies to ensure your data is always available when you need it.
Vivio maintains multiple fiber providers to service both our own clients as well as offer direct connections to our collocated clients.
Wave is a leading West Coast provider in data center to data center transport and sophisticated high-bandwidth internet connectivity. Based in Seattle, our network footprint extends from the Puget Sound north to Vancouver B.C. and south to Portland and the Greater Bay Area, including Silicon Valley.
Wave provides Vivio with gigabit connectivity through its fiber network. Vivio has been partners with Wave since its inception in 2007. Visit their site at: https://business.wavebroadband.com/wholesale/about/
PocketiNet offers Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) to entities that need very large amounts of Internet bandwidth that we blend together to create a very Internet route optimized hybrid product. Furthermore, because our network includes multiple physical locations for the origination of Internet bandwidth, our network offers industry-leading redundancy for mission-critical operations. We utilize Seattle and Los Angeles data carrier hotels for Internet capacity and transport them to our Washington and Oregon backbone network. We take our network seriously because you depend on it.
Vivio maintains multiple redundancy systems to ensure your data is always available when you need it.
Vivio supplements our Diesel Generators with Natural Gas generators where natural gas is available. Natural Gas generators burn cleanly – producing an environmentally friendly source of generating backup power whenever city power goes down. Our generators are tested regularly to ensure that backup power will be ready and available whenever we need it.
Server Racks at Vivio Technologies are isolated into sections. Each section contains multiple dedicated APC Battery Backup Units, which serves as a power “cleaner” for that section of rack space. Problems with power spikes, brown-outs, or loss of power are not a concern.
Vivio’s data center is cooled by multiple industrial redundant Air Conditioners. In addition to guaranteeing our data center stays cool, our air conditioners also come equipped with economizers. Economizers take advantage of chilly weather conditions by using the cold outside air as a supplement to conditioned air. This lowers the amount of energy required to power our air conditioners and lowers Vivio’s Carbon Footprint. This helps keep costs low and is much better for the environment.
Vivio’s Data Center is located in the relatively small city of Walla Walla in Washington State. The city of Walla Walla sits right at the base of the Blue Mountain range and is ideal because of its low risk or natural disasters. Walla Walla is not subject to hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, volcanoes, or similar natural occurrences that could jeopardize the safety of your data.
Vivio works with local power authorities and pays extra for its power in order to participate in green-energy initiatives such as wind-generated power programs. One of these programs is the Blue Sky program available through the Pacific Power company. Rest easy knowing that your business with Vivio is environmentally friendly.
